Jack Radcliffe has documented his daughter, Alison with fantastic portraits of her life. From toddler to grown woman you can see the openness and emotion of these portraits. In his own words:
My photographs of Alison, because of the nature of our relationship, are very much a father-daughter collaboration-Alison permitting me access to private moments of our life, which might, under different circumstances, be off-limits to a parent. The camera, early in her life, became part of our relationship, necessitating in me an acceptance, a quietness. We’ve never had long photographic sessions, but rather moments alone or with friends.
As I welcome my daughter (below) into the world and introduce her to all it has to offer, I am trying to capture her as she explores it. She is already used to the camera lens focused on her and I hope she will never tire of it. I pray that we will have this unspoken bond throughout our relationship.
